The items in this sale are being sold to raise money for a family in Bangladesh. Please see image for the details of the items and where appropriate I have added more details in the description below.  There is also a seperate listing should you wish to donate a small amount to the family. Anybody who makes a donation will be entered into a prize drawer to win a £100 voucher to spend in my online shop.

Painted furniture and other miniatures!
Well this is not what you normally see on my website but it is how I started. Originally all my designs were painted and I sold them at fairs - covid hit and we got busy so I ended up supplying kits and this has continued ever since! However some friends have painted some items for the sale and also I have included some ex-display items. In addition I also have a few items left over from my last charity event painted by artisans. Lastly I have some of my mums old miniatures that she purchased. There are some nice pieces including some china from Avon miniatures and a few painted pieces. 
 
Why raise money for a family in Bangladesh?
The proceeds of this sale will go towards supporting a family in Bangladesh. Poverty in Bangladesh  is crippling and families struggle to survive on less than $2 per day - enough for basic food and a room but little else. I support such a family and with the proceeds of this sale we shall be able to ensure good food and housing for the family and also a good education for their daughter. 
A small amount does seem to go a long way and so this will make a huge difference to their lives. Over the last year or two I have raised money so the father now has his own small business and the mother has just started a cooking business. It is quite an achievement for her...growing up in poverty her mother sold her to a lady to whom she would cook and clean. When she grew old enough she left home, fell in love, ran away and got married! She has never known education and never experienced the sort of achievement that comes from making and selling food. Starting her own business has been a fantastic achievement. However selling a curry in Bangladesh is not the same as in the west and you could easily buy a nice curry with rice and bread and trimmings for less than $1. So she works hard!!
